Laura graduated from University of California, Berkeley with a B.A. in Integrative Biology and a minor in Forestry and Natural Resources. At the Bren School she is exploring these topics more deeply with a specialization in Conservation Planning. She was drawn to this project due to her interests in the conservation and management of native California plants and ecosystems.

Jazmine graduated from UCLA with a Bachelor's degree in Psychobiology and a minor in Conservation Biology. After following her passion in animal behavior to the Rocky Mountains, she decided to attend Bren where her interest endemic species and unique ecosystems led her to Oakology. Aside from watching animal documentaries, she enjoys creating art on her days off.

Sofie graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a B.S. in Environmental Science and is currently a Master’s Student at the Bren School of Environmental Science & Management. She is specializing in Conservation Planning and is broadly interested in studying forest dynamics under climate change scenarios and examining how historic land-use decisions influence modern forests.

Alyssa graduated in 2014 from the University of Colorado at Boulder with Bachelor of the Arts degrees in Neuroscience and Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences, as well as a certificate in Cognitive Science.  Specializing in Coastal Marine Resources Management, she hopes to integrate her molecular biology background with environmental science to study how marine organisms respond to pollutants.

Claire graduated from UC Santa Cruz with a degree in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology. She promptly went to the mountains, and worked in outdoor eduction until coming to Bren. Her time in wild places inspired her pursuit of a master's degree in environmental science and management. She hopes to use her degree to contribute to management and conservation of public lands, especially with respect to impending climate change impacts.
